A delegation from Bemidji State University and the local Minnesota business community, on a fact finding mission, visited Goodwin in December of 2004. Goodwin's Applied Engineering Technology faculty and staff hosted the tour of Goodwin's labs and classrooms and discussed AET curriculum, lab development and how to incorporate the needs of local manufacturers into the educational process.
Earlier in 2004, Martin Tadlock, dean of BSU's College of Professional Studies and Deb Grabrian, director of developmental research, contacted Goodwin with questions about the AET program. They made their initial trip to Philadelphia in July of that year to learn about the development of the AET program which premiered last semester as a full-time program at Drexel.
