School of Education Ranked Among Best Graduate Schools in U.S. News & World Report

, April 22, 2009 — Goodwin College’s School of Education is proud to be ranked among the best graduate schools for education by U.S. News & World Report.   In the magazine’s 2009 rankings released on April 22, the School of Education placed 54th, advancing from the 65th position in 2008. 

The School of Education is honored to be one of only six Pennsylvania institutions to make the top 100 list.  U.S. News surveyed 278 programs to select the top education schools. According to the publication, rankings are in part based on peer assessment by leaders at other colleges anduniversities, graduation and retention rates, college resources, financial resources, and student selectivity.

This honor follows Drexel University’s ranking of 89th  in the category of Best National Universities in U.S. News’ “America's Best Colleges” list, published last summer. Drexel also ranked sixth among national universities in the first U.S. News list of “Schools to Watch,” ranking the nation's top “up-and-coming schools.”
