Profile:

After receiving his Ph.D. in Physics from Temple University, Dr. Warren Rosen served as an assistant professor of physics at Colby and Vassar colleges where he carried out research in optical physics, solar physics, and medical physics. While at Vassar, he was also a research associate at Atmospheric and Environmental Research in Cambridge, Mass., and a regular visiting scientist at the National Solar Observatory, Kitt Peak, Ariz.

After leaving Vassar, Dr. Rosen moved to the Naval Air Warfare Center in Warminster, Pa., where he established an optical communications laboratory for development and characterization of optical components, systems, and protocols for high-performance avionics data networks.

Dr. Rosen joined the staff of Drexel University in 1996, first serving as a research professor in the College of Engineering and then as auxiliary assistant professor at Goodwin College in 2007. In addition to his teaching and research activities at Goodwin, he serves on both the Curriculum and Assessment & Evaluation committees.

Dr. Rosen has served on a number of Department of Defense and international standards committees including the SAE Unified Network Interconnect Task Group and the RapidIO Trade Association. He has carried out research sponsored by the National Security Agency, National Science Foundation, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, DARPA, the Office of Naval Research, and the Missile Defense Agency.
