Profile:

Along with teaching at Goodwin, Dr. Bill Danley is also involved with developing laboratories in thermal and fluid sciences and analytical measurement. Until recently, he was the manager of the Hess Engineering Research Laboratory where he coordinated facility improvements and laboratory safety. Dr. Danley continues to be involved with student design groups and is the advisor to Pi Tau Sigma, the mechanical engineering national honor society and the eastern vice president for this organization.

Dr. Danley’s other work experience includes the following positions:
Product and Application Manager – Process and Analytical Instruments Division, AMETEK (Newark, DE) – Photodiode array analyzer product line, multivariate data analysis.

Senior Physicist – Ircon, Inc. (Niles, IL) – Scanning optical thermometer, spot temperature shape analysis – two patents.

Senior Development Engineer – Westinghouse Electric Corporation (Orrville, OH) – Acousto-optic tunable filter, high-temperature oxygen and combustible analyzer – two patents.
