Doug Carney is a Registered Architect in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania , and is certified by the National Council of Architects Registrations Boards. He has practiced as an architect for over 15 years, gaining extensive project experience with contract management, site analysis, master planning, feasibility & zoning studies, space needs & program development, code analysis and compliance studies, and project scheduling. He is familiar with FDA validation processes.
Mr. Carney's professional achievements include providing key leadership and strategic vision for completion of the $150 million Wharton School construction in San Francisco and Philadelphia with no claims or delays, on time, under budget, and at the planned quality level thus creating lasting landmarks for the University of Pennsylvania.
His expertise includes developing and providing leadership for highly effective cross functional teams in capital projects, facilities operations, maintenance, and real estate environments in large institutional settings. Mr. Carney has led efforts to systematize and develop innovative management plans for tracking major capital programs and construction management efforts for large, complex projects in educational, healthcare and corporate markets.
Mr. Carney has managed the fiscal planning, operational, capital budgeting, and cost control efforts for over $200 million in new construction and for $8 million dollar annual operating budgets in, facilities and real estate management. Mr. Carney has led a hospital due diligence acquisition team for site and facility assessment and multi-year capital planning for the Frankford Hospital Bucks County purchase. Additionally, he reinvented operations & maintenance systems with an innovative design for a staffing plan which improved effectiveness and internal/external customer satisfaction with hospital operations and facilities management. Mr. Carney has led the successful preparation of the SOC for the initial JCAHO environment of care survey for Frankford Hospital Bucks County and negotiated and managed more than $250 million of contracts, RFP's, firm selections, contract development and contract administration. |
