AET: Robotics and Mechatronics Lab
The Robotics and Mechatronics lab was initiated with a grant of $155,648 (cash and new equipment) from National Science Foundation and an in-kind gift of robot equipment from Yamaha Robotics, Co. The project team included Drs. Richard Chiou, James Kwon, and Horacio Sosa.
The lab consists of two sub-labs: the robotics laboratory and the Internet-based system Rockwell Automation Laboratory. Students learn basic (component-level) knowledge and skills in the Robotics and Automation Laboratory; then develop integrated Internet-based knowledge by working in the Internet System Laboratory. The lab supports robotics, automation, and control education for the Applied Engineering Technology program.
For more information, please contact Dr. Richard Chiou.
