The Evening College

Drexel University’s tradition of offering university degrees to students who are working full-time during the day began with the founding of the Drexel Institute for Art, Science, and Industry in 1891. The first evening courses were offered in 1892. Since that time, programs offered in the evening have enjoyed persistent popularity, serving generations of adult working students committed to their families, their jobs, and their futures.

Goodwin College's evening degree programs offer students with daytime commitments the opportunity to complete a bachelor’s degree during times that don’t conflict with their job responsibilities. The challenging and practical coursework is offered in a supportive, adult-oriented setting—while always living up to the Drexel tradition of excellence. Goodwin’s part-time/evening programs have a long-standing tradition of providing adult learners with:

  • High-quality practical and industry-oriented education.
  • The convenience they need to balance the many responsibilities of work and family life.
  • Affordable per-credit costs.
  • Knowledgeable academic advisors available during day and evening hours.

In collaboration with other Drexel University Colleges, the Goodwin College of Professional Studies continues and expands the legacy of Drexel University’s “Evening College.” Responding to the demands of adult working students, Goodwin now offers part-time undergraduate degree programs in the evening in the areas of study noted below. Some programs, noted with an asterick (*), also offer online and Saturday acceleration options.
