Power Engineering and NERC Training: Power System Fundamentals

 

This ten-week course is presented on-line and will cover:

  • basic principles of power systems and electric grid
  • methods to analyze electric grid systems
  • basic power system protection and stability 

The course includes three NERC-approved modules
offering 30 CE hours as follows:

  • DREXEL_001_407_COMP - Components (10 CE hours)
  • DREXEL_001_407_PF - Power Flow Policy (10 CE hours)
  • DREXEL_001_407_PC - Power Control (10 CE hours)
 

Drexel University, Goodwin College is recognized by the North American Electric Reliability Council as a continuing education provider who adheres to NERC Continuing
Education Program criteria.

CE certificates will be awarded upon completion of the course.  Additionally upon enrollment in the AET program, this certification yields 3 credit hours and is equivalent to EET407.
