Garner Cotton, Goodwin College (previously Evening College) '51, is the owner and partner of G. Cotton Engineering Associates Inc. Mr. Cotton is a Fellow of the American Society of Civil Engineers, a member of the National Society of Professional Engineers and both a Registered Professional Engineer and a Registered Professional Planner in the state of New Jersey. Previously, he worked for the Philadelphia Board of Education, All State Engineering & Development, the New York Shipbuilding Corporation and Boeing Aircraft.

Mr. Cotton has received an Honorary Doctorate from Lincoln University and the Citizen of the Year Award from the New Jersey Society of Professional Engineers. He has chaired the Committee of Equal Opportunity Programs for the American Society of Civil Engineers South Jersey Branch and served as the president of the Professional Engineering Society of South Jersey. He was the 1999 recipient of Drexel's Alumni Service to Community Award.
