October 17, 2013
Drexel Athletics announces the 12th Annual Have A Heart Colonial Athletic Association Blood Challenge on October 17, 2013.
We need your help to regain the title. YOU can make a difference in helping save someone's life and at the same time help Drexel win the CAA Blood Challenge.
The idea for a CAA Blood Challenge came from the league presidents/chancellor as a fun way to emphasize the critical importance of donating blood. Each CAA institution works with its local blood service center and designates one day during the fall term to conduct a campus-wide blood drive. Student groups, faculty, staff, and alumni are all encouraged to participate. The 11th annual CAA Blood Challenge was once again an overwhelming success in 2012, with 4,613 productive units of blood collected from the 12 CAA campuses. The University of Delaware was the winner of the 2012 CAA Blood Challenge with 1,232 actual donors. Over the past eleven years the CAA Blood Challenge has raised a total of 36,719 productive units of blood, which has helped to save 110,157 lives!
