Federal GrantsFederal Pell GrantsThe Federal Pell Grant program provides assistance to students who demonstrate financial need according to economic criteria and program requirements established by the federal government. To be eligible, you must enroll in a degree or approved certificate/diploma program and be matriculated for your first bachelor's degree. An estimated award will be listed in your award letter if we think you will be eligible. Your Student Aid Report (SAR) contains the official result from the U.S. Department of Education. Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grants (FSEOG)This program is funded by the U.S. Department of Education and administered by Drexel University to provide assistance to students with exceptional financial need. All students who qualify are automatically considered for this grant. However, our funds from this program are very limited. National Science and Mathematics Access to Retain Talent Grant (National SMART Grant)The National SMART Grant is available to full-time third- and fourth-year undergraduate students who are eligible for the Pell Grant and are majoring in physical, life, or computer sciences, mathematics, technology, engineering, or in a foreign language determined critical to national security. Students must also be enrolled in at least one course specific to and required for the eligible major and maintain a cumulative 3.0 GPA in coursework required for the major. This grant is awarded in addition to a student's Pell Grant. Academic Competitiveness GrantThe Academic Competitiveness Grant is awarded to first- and second-year students who have completed a rigorous secondary school program of study. Students must be eligible for the Pell Grant and receive this award in addition to the Pell Grant.
