Who Can I Talk To For Help with Fellowships?

There are lots of places you can and should go for support and help with your fellowships application. You can think of this as creating a support team for yourself. Each person has a role to play in helping you achieve success.

  • The Drexel Fellowships Office can help you with all stages of the process. We offer a wide range of advice, mentoring, and support to students: helping to identify appropriate awards, helping students understand the requirements of particular programs, offering support on the logistics of the application process, creating campus review and interview committees where appropriate, acting as a clearinghouse for student application paperwork, and even sending completed applications and supporting materials out next day mail.

  • Faculty Members can be enormously helpful in the fellowships application process and you should consult with them early on for their input and insight. At the very least, they are the ones best able to read your academic and project proposals and help you make them as intellectually interesting as possible.

  • Department Contacts and Advisors. Some departments have very engaged advisors and program coordinators who can be of enormous help in the fellowships process. Contact the Drexel Fellowships Office for suggestions of someone in your department or program.

  • College Fellowships Liaison. Each college at Drexel has designated someone who can help you. This person will work closely with the Drexel Fellowships Office and may be a useful initial point of contact to help with general ideas, as well as an effective trouble-shooter with transcripts, credits, and faculty.
