About Us
Drexel’s Fellowships office was established in 2007 as a way to foster and encourage more successful student fellowship winners. The office is based in Pennoni Honors College, though we work with students from all Colleges and Schools in the University. We also work closely with the Study Abroad office, as many (though certainly not all) Fellowships involve international study and travel.
Rona Buchalter holds a PhD from the Annenberg School for Communication at the University of Pennsylvania, and a Bachelor’s in Speech and Political Science from Northwestern University. She has taught communication theory at the University of Pennsylvania and Academic Writing at Swarthmore College, as well as consulted with a number of educational institutions in and around Philadelphia on special academic programs. She is also a member of the Board of Trustees of Independence Charter School, with special emphasis on curriculum development.
Sara Lynott currently works with both the Fellowships Office as well as the Study Abroad Office. Sara holds a Bachelor’s degree in International Studies from the University of Scranton in Scranton, Pennsylvania and is currently working on her Master’s degree in International Relations from the University of Tampere in Tampere, Finland. During her undergraduate studies, she was awarded a State Department Student Internship at the US Embassy in Stockholm, Sweden for Fall 2004. Additionally, she took part in the Rotary Youth Exchange program in Jalasjärvi, Finland for the 2000-2001 academic year.
