DUCOM Women in Academic Medicine Brown Bag Lunch: The Art of Negotiation

Featuring Janet Fleetwood, Ph.D., Vice Provost for Strategic Development and Initiatives, Carolyn Jackson, M.B.A., C.E.O. of St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children, and Jane Clifford, Ph.D., Chair, Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology.
Faculty, fellows, residents, medical and graduate students were invited to learn general strategic skills for negotiating conditions for their own success while contributing to the effectiveness of their organization. Panelists discussed their own personal strategies and examples of negotiation during their professional careers to exemplify advocacy for oneself and strategic preparation.
