University academic buildings (excluding Creese Student Center, Mandell Theater, MacAlister Hall, Daskalakis Athletic Center and all residence halls) are cleaned by the Facilities Management Custodial Department. The staff is responsible for all corridors, public space, classrooms, labs, offices, restrooms, elevators, and stairwells.

Restrooms, classrooms, public spaces, and labs are cleaned regularly. Trash is collected daily and facilities vacuumed and dusted weekly.

In the event of a staffing shortage, these areas will be policed.

Exterior windows are cleaned by an outside contractor yearly. Floor waxing and stripping, and carpet cleaning and extraction are done by request and during term breaks.
