Drexel's College of Engineering Programs Receive Distinguished Rankings

Two areas of Drexel University’s College of Engineering have received rankings of note.

In the 2014 U.S. News and World Report ranking of “Best Online Graduate Engineering Programs,” Drexel is ranked 29, up 6 places from the previous year. The emphasis in the survey's methodology was slightly different this year, giving more weight to student engagement, faculty credentials and training and student services and technology over peer reputation and admissions selectivity. Programs that are offered at the College of Engineering are a M.S. Electrical Engineering and a M.S. Engineering Management.

In addition, the College of Engineering’s M.S. in Project Management is ranked 7th by Best Master's Programs in its 2014 “Top 25 Online Masters in Project Management.” Best Master’s Programs is an organization dedicated to helping prospective students find more information on the top master’s programs offered globally.

The 45-credit graduate degree in Project Management trains students to effectively manage projects, programs and portfolios in today’s competitive project-driven environment. The program incorporates business acumen with valued communication skills and leadership ability. Successful graduates will not only be capable of managing single projects, but efficiently coordinate integrated projects to achieve a set of business goals.  The program’s curriculum is aligned with the internationally-recognized Project Management Institute’s “A Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge” (PMBOK® Guide) and is designed to support the completion of the Project Management Institute’s (PMI®) Project Management Professional (PMP®) Certification.
