ENGR 102 - Engineering Design II

Engineering Design II presents students with engineering design challenge. Students can choose either robotics or bridge design as the focus for ENGR 102.

In ENGR 102, students are introduced to the engineering design process through structured examples. These examples have the design problem, constraints and target audience predefined. The student groups' goal will be to brainstorm solutions that fall within the design constraints, to evaluate these possible design solutions and choose the optimal one, and to implement and test their design in comparison with the designs of their peers.

Engineering Design II (Robotics - Autonomous Waste Disposal) introduces students to sensor operation, algorithm design and robotics through hands-on design and course-wide challenge in a team decision-making environment.

Engineering Design II (Bridge Design and Construction) introduces concepts of stress and strain, structures, computer analysis/simulation and laboratory testing in a team decision-making environment.
