The Drexel Fellowships Office supports students across the University in their applications for competitive national and international fellowships. The Office is available for one-on-one appointments and helps students create strong applications through intensive individual advising and support. NSF GK-12
Description: The National Science Foundation GK-12 project at Drexel University titled, "Catalyzing STEM Education via the NAE Grand Challenges," supports the pairing of Drexel graduate PhD students with local high school teachers through academic fellowship to enhance the math and science education of high school students through the context of the National Academy of Engineering (NAE) Grand Challenges while concurrently illustrating the global nature of these societal issues. The high school students and the K-12 Teachers Fellows will gain an appreciation for the science and mathematics concepts in an applied, real world context. Concurrently, Graduate Student Fellows will become knowledgeable in pedagogy through direct application of their technical/scientific expertise in the context of the classroom setting, interaction with the Teacher and mentoring students.
