Engineers Week
Drexel’s College of Engineering celebrates National Engineers Week annually with activities scheduled through the week. This nationally recognized celebration raises public awareness of engineers’ indispensible contributions to all aspects of life.
Some of our key events through the week include:
Robotics @Drexel
Drexel Engineering will kick-off the National Engineers Week celebration by unveiling seven humanoid robots and the leading robotics research at Drexel. Following the humanoid robotics demo, members of the community will be invited to watch robotics competitions held on campus and to meet the Drexel research teams taking robotics to the next level. Introduce a Girl to Engineering
Students, faculty and professional staff will host an event for 100 junior Girls Scouts to introduce them to an overview of engineering and the possible career options that are available to them. Hands-on activities, lunch with female leaders in engineering and introductions to engineering disciplines will be some of the opportunities available at the event. Read more on the

Engineering Alumni Connections Panel Discussion
Drexel Engineering students will have the opportunity to hear alumni from different engineering disciplines speak of their experiences in industry, trends and how to advance in the field. Read more on the

Student Events
In the spirit of Engineers Week, Drexel Engineering students will host a series of events during the week that includes competitions of the greatest minds in the College, a showcase of the student organizations and even a chance to participate in a Scavenger Hunt on campus. Drexel Engineers Week Welcome to Joseph B. Hughes & Awards Ceremony
As a capstone event, Drexel Engineering will welcome to the college, newly appointed dean, Dr. Joseph B. Hughes. Dr. Hughes will provide the keynote remarks at the Engineers Week Awards Ceremony and induct outstanding alumni into the Circle of Distinction. Faculty and Professional Staff will also be recognized at the event for their contributions to the College. Read more on the
