Vlad Genis, PhD, Elected Fellow of the American Society for Nondestructive Testing

Vlad GenisVladimir Genis, PhD, Department Head and Professor in the Engineering Technology department, has been elected Fellow of the American Society for Nondestructive Testing.

According to the ASNT website, “The purpose of the ASNT Fellow Award is to acknowledge and honor persons of outstanding service in the field of nondestructive testing. Recipients shall have a history in the fields of research and development, application, teaching and/or management.” Only individuals with 15 years of nondestructive testing experience, 10 years of ASNT membership and those who have supported the society by making contributions at a local or national level are considered for a fellowship.

The ASNT Fellow Awards Committee selects up to fifteen awards each year. Nominations are made by the candidate’s local Section Chairman, by any member of the ASNT Board of Directors, or by any ASNT Fellow.
