Biography

Stephen Stamegna grew up in Wilmington, DE and graduated from the University of Massachusetts – Amherst, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering. Prior to joining the Drexel team, he worked as a land development engineer and spent close to three years as a program director in the summer camping industry. At camp, he worked closely with young adults and supported them in program development, communication skills, and time and personnel management.

Stephen is excited to apply these experiences to working with CAEE students in the College of Engineering. He is passionate about building personal connections, contributing to an environment of empathy and growth, and helping students feel empowered, heard, and supported.

In his free time, Stephen enjoys woodworking, hiking, sailing, cooking, and spending time with his family. As a camp person, he feels connected to the trees and finds no better comfort than a night spent in the dirt.
