Jeff on co-op at Raytheon Technical Service Corporation.
Nothing jumpstarts your career like a co-op experience. Just ask Jeff Fox, he knows all about it.
With three successful co-ops to his credit, this IST major knows what he's talking about. To Jeff, "Drexel University is in the business of taking rough, wet-behind-the-ears students, and molding them into educated, professional, and mature adults."
As a freshman in high school, Jeff became interested in programming and information systems. Even though he didn't know much about technology or computers at the time, he managed to build a network for his grandparents' air and hydraulics company!
Jeff's first co-op was at Raytheon Technical Service Corporation in Mt. Laurel, NJ. That's also where he did his next co-op, and the one after that. In the space of the three co-ops, Jeff went from rookie to running his own project, JumpStart, a utility that assists in loading and configuring "fresh" machines with the software frequently used at Raytheon. Raytheon was so impressed with Jeff's work that they gave him a Service Recognition Award and "a nice bonus," he adds, smiling.
Another interest in Jeff's life that puts him in a good mood is flying. He has almost completed the requirements for his student's pilot license. In his spare time, you can probably spot him flying a Piper Archer out of Atlantic City and up into the skies.
