Great Works Symposium
This series of courses is designed to take an interdisciplinary approach to a single subject, such as the Statue of Liberty, Frankenstein, and the Brooklyn Bridge. Taught by professors from across the University, as well as guest lecturers, and featuring special exhibits and film screenings, these classes guarantee that you'll never look at a great work the same way again.

STAR: Students Tackling Advanced Research
Students Tackling Advanced Research (STAR) allows students to participate in research projects in their field as early as the freshman year. Students who take part in these research opportunities may be eligible for stipends or academic credit for their work. The program also pairs students with faculty mentors, who can answer questions or offer advice on an informal, one-on-one basis. Admission in the STAR program is voluntary and competitive, and the number of students is limited to 50 each year. If you are interested, please speak with your admissions counselor.
