Early Assurance Program
The Early Assurance program offers highly motivated Drexel students early assurance of admission to the Drexel College of Medicine. This program enables students to apply to the Drexel University College of Medicine after completing two years of coursework as an undergraduate. Accepted students enter the College of Medicine after completing their bachelor's degree at Drexel. Acceptance into this program is limited and Drexel students may apply through the University's Pre-Medical Advising Committee.
Students interested in the Early Assurance program must:
- Complete two years of undergraduate coursework with a cumulative GPA of at least 3.45, with no grade less than a C.
- Complete three quarters of the following courses: general chemistry (with lab), organic chemistry (with lab), biology (with lab), physics (with lab), and English. All classes must be taken at Drexel University.
- Receive endorsement of their candidacy from Drexel's Pre-Medical Advising Committee.
- The MCAT is required prior to matriculation into the College of Medicine. Students must receive a score of 9 in each subsection or a minimum score of 30 (with no individual score less than 7), and a writing score of M.
