College of Information Science and Technology
The College of Information Science and Technology (IST) has long been recognized as a leader in the field of information science and technology. In fact, U.S. News & World Report ranked IST number five for its specialization in information systems within the eleventh-ranked MS program in Library and Information Science.
The college's educational and research programs integrate information technology, information content, organizational forces, and business strategy, preparing professionals to provide information services and systems to a wide variety of institutions.
Full- and part-time study are available, and classes are offered face-to-face, during evenings and weekends, and online for some programs. The iCommons, a fully equipped computer lab, enables students to work with current and emerging technologies, and the Career Placement Office assists students and alumni with career planning and placement. Students pursuing master's degrees may also choose to participate in Graduate Co-op.
