Career Development
School of Education
Drexel's long tradition of experiential learning extends to upper-level students, providing them with context and practical knowledge to supplement traditional theoretical scholarship. At the graduate level, students have access to resources that help them gain professional experience, search for jobs, and research their field of interest. After graduation Drexel continues to support students with career-planning workshops, career counseling, and a résumé search.
Graduate Co-op
A Graduate Co-op is ideal for recent college graduates who are looking to develop their skills and build their résumés. It's also valuable for experienced professionals who want to change careers.
Drexel's Graduate Co-op, a requirement for certain master's programs, blends traditional coursework with a three- to six-month period of generally unpaid off-campus professional experience. Students receive course credit for co-op. Please contact the appropriate School of Education Graduate Advisor at 215-895-6770 for specific information regarding any co-op, field experience, or student teaching that may be required for the graduate program to which you wish to apply.
Eligibility
To be eligible for Graduate Co-op, field experience, or student teaching, students must meet the prerequisites of their programs. International students must also complete three terms as full-time students and demonstrate business-usage English proficiency.
