Admissions

Drexel Admissions oversees the qualification and enrollment of freshman, transfer, international, and graduate students. Admissions works in partnership with University colleges and schools to develop annual enrollment goals based on population and academic growth. Together with the Recruitment Department, Admissions expands and develops strong working relationships with feeder schools.

Department Responsibilities

  • Qualify students for admission to the University using established guidelines
  • Improve yield rates on admission offers at each level of enrollment
  • Communicate effectively with candidates during the selection process
  • Ensure timely review of applicant files and credit evaluations either by admission teams and/or partners within the colleges and schools
  • Establish strong working relationships with domestic and international high schools, community colleges, and colleges and universities that direct students to Drexel
  • Improve the quality and retention of new students by developing Enrollment Management's knowledge of standardized examinations, grading, and course selection patterns as admission qualifying tools

Erin M. Finn

Assistant Vice President for Admissions

As the assistant vice president for Admissions, Erin Finn oversees the enrollment process from the point an application becomes complete through enrollment for all freshman, transfer, international, and graduate programs. She has worked in postsecondary/higher education since her arrival in Philadelphia in 1993 and joined Drexel in 2004. In addition to her responsibilities with Drexel, Erin also serves as an adjunct professor at La Salle University.
