Transcript Requirements for International Students

Please refer to the documentation requirements for the country in which the university or college you attended, or are currently attending, is located. Contact the Office of Graduate Admissions to obtain specific documentation requirements for those countries not listed below.

Canada
If you attended a college or university in Canada, please supply the following:
- Official academic transcripts for all post
- secondary programs of study. Transcripts should indicate all subjects taken and grades earned and should be sent directly to Drexel University from the issuing institution.
- Precise, word-for-word English translations of all non-English language documents. All translations need to be completed by the issuing institution or an ATA-certified translator. You can search for an ATA-certified translator at the American Translators Association website.
China
If you attended a college or university in China, please supply the following:
- Official academic transcripts. Transcripts should indicate all subjects taken and grades earned.
- Clear, legible photocopies of all graduate certificates. These documents should be in the original language.
- Clear, legible photocopies of all degree certificates. These documents should be in the original language.
- Precise, word-for-word English translations of all non-English language documents. All translations need to be completed by the issuing institution or an ATA-certified translator. You can search for an ATA-certified translator at the American Translators Association website.
All transcripts, degrees, and diplomas must be verified by one of the following approved organizations. All documents should be sent directly to Drexel University by these organizations.

Ghana
If you attended a college or university in Ghana, please supply the following:
- Official academic transcripts for all postsecondary programs of study. Transcripts should indicate all annual examination subjects taken and grades for each year of a program and should be sent directly to Drexel University by the issuing institution.
Hong Kong
If you attended a college or university in Hong Kong, please supply the following:
- Official academic transcripts for all postsecondary programs of study. Transcripts should be issued in English and should be sent directly to Drexel University by the issuing institution.
India
If you attended a college or university in India, please supply the required information for the type of school you attended:
- Universities/Polytechnics/Institutes of Technology
- State Boards of Technical Education
- Other Institutions/Qualifications
Universities/Polytechnics/Institutes of Technology
- Annual mark sheets issued by the university that conducted the examinations. All mark sheets must specify the title of each subject or paper. Please submit a photocopy of the relevant syllabus if the subjects or paper titles are not specified on the mark sheets. College-issued transcripts will not be accepted unless from an autonomous college.
- Clear, legible photocopies of all final degree certificates or provisional degree certificates.
- Precise, word-for-word English translations of all non-English language documents. All translations need to be completed by the issuing institution or an ATA-certified translator. You can search for an ATA-certified translator at the American Translators Association website.

State Boards of Technical Education
- Annual mark sheets issued by the institution that conducted the examinations.
- Clear, legible photocopies of final certificate or diploma.
- Precise, word-for-word English translations of all non-English language documents. All translations need to be completed by the issuing institution or an ATA-certified translator. You can search for an ATA-certified translator at the American Translators Association website.
Other Institutions/Qualifications
- Annual mark sheets issued by the institution that conducted the examinations.
- Clear, legible photocopies of final certificate or diploma.
- Precise, word-for-word English translations of all non-English language documents. All translations need to be completed by the issuing institution or an ATA-certified translator. You can search for an ATA-certified translator at the American Translators Association website.
All mark sheets must be verified and forwarded to Drexel University by the Controller of Examinations.
Iran
If you attended a college or university in Iran, please supply the following:
- Official academic transcripts for all postsecondary programs of study. Transcripts should be sent directly to Drexel University by the issuing institution.
- Precise, word-for-word English translations of all non-English language documents. All translations need to be completed by the issuing institution or an ATA-certified translator. You can search for an ATA-certified translator at the American Translators Association website.
Japan
If you attended a college or university in Japan, please supply the following:
- Official academic transcripts, issued in English, for all postsecondary programs of study. Transcripts should indicate all subjects taken and grades earned and should be sent directly to Drexel University from the issuing institution.
Korea
If you attended a college or university in Korea, please supply the following:
- Official academic transcripts for all postsecondary programs of study. Transcripts should be issued in English and should be sent directly to Drexel University by the issuing institution.
Nigeria
If you attended a college or university in Nigeria, please supply the following:
- Official academic transcripts for all postsecondary programs of study. Transcripts should indicate all annual examination subjects taken and grades for each year of a program and should be sent directly to Drexel University by the issuing institution.
Pakistan
If you attended a college or university in Pakistan, please supply the following:
- Annual mark sheets that have been attested by the Higher Education Commission (HEC). For information on how to have your transcripts attested, please visit the HEC website. All mark sheets must specify the title of each subject or paper. Please submit a photocopy of the relevant syllabus if the subjects or paper titles are not specified on the mark sheets. All mark sheets should be sent directly to Drexel University from the HEC.
- Clear, legible photocopies of all final degree certificates, provisional degree certificates, or registration or license certificates.
- Precise, word-for-word English translations of all non-English language documents. All translations need to be completed by the issuing institution or an ATA-certified translator. You can search for an ATA-certified translator at the American Translators Association website.
Russian Federation (prior to Bologna Process)
If you attended a college or university in Russia prior to the Bologna Process, please supply the following:
- Official academic transcripts (Arkhivnaya/Akademicheskaya Spravka). Transcripts should indicate all subjects taken and grades earned and should be sent directly to Drexel University from the issuing institution. These documents should be issued in the original language. Please request that, if possible, the transcripts be issued according to the Diploma Supplement template.
- Clear, legible photocopies of all official diplomas or certificates (Bakalavr/Magistr/ Diploma of Specialist/Kandidat Nauk/Doktor Nauk/Uchilishche/Technikum diploma). These documents should be in the original language.
- Precise, word-for-word English translations of all non-English language documents. All translations need to be completed by the issuing institution or an ATA-certified translator. You can search for an ATA-certified translator at the American Translators Association website.
Official academic transcripts must be sent directly to Drexel University by the awarding institution. Alternatively, you can contact the Ministry of Education and arrange to have them send official copies of your documents directly to Drexel University. Please contact the Ministry at:

If you attended a college or university in a country that is part of the Bologna Process, please supply the following:
- Official academic transcripts issued according to the Diploma Supplement template. Transcripts should be sent directly to Drexel University from the issuing institution.
- All official degrees, diplomas, or certificates. These documents should be issued by the awarding institution and in the original language.
- Precise, word-for-word English translations of all non-English language documents. All translations need to be completed by the issuing institution or an ATA-certified translator. You can search for an ATA-certified translator at the American Translators Association website.
