Admission Application Checklist
College of Nursing and Health Professions
- Graduate Admissions Application: We prefer
that you submit your application online. Alternatively, you may submit
the paper application.

- Application Fee, $75 (waived for students
who apply online or submit the application during a campus visit).
- Essay: To further aid the admissions committee in evaluating
your application, you must submit a personal statement of approximately 500
words (unless otherwise specified in the requirements for your program).
Please refer to the Application Requirements
and Deadlines for
your program's specific essay topics and requirements, if applicable, before
writing the essay.
If your program does not have a specific essay topic, your personal statement
should detail your reasons for pursuing a degree from Drexel; your short-term
and long-term career plans; and how your background, experience, interests,
and/or values, when combined with a Drexel degree, will enable you to pursue
these goals successfully.
- Letters of Recommendation: Refer to the Application
Requirements and Deadlines for the number of recommendations that
you are required to submit for your program. To submit recommendation letters, please use the Electronic Letter of Recommendation form.
Alternately, you may submit your recommendation letters by mail. Letters must include the address, phone number, and signature of the recommender. The recommendation envelope must be submitted unopened to the Office of Graduate Admissions. Note: only the DrNP program and the Psychology PhD programs require a specific form letter. All other programs do not require an evaluation form.
- Standardized Test Scores: (GRE, GMAT, MAT, etc.)
Official copies of test results must be sent to Drexel. Refer to the Application Requirements
and Deadlines to determine which tests you are required to take. Drexel's
test code is 2194 for the GRE and TOEFL. Drexel's test code for the MAT
is 1615. Drexel does not use department codes.
- TOEFL: Applicants
who have not received a degree in the United States are required to take
the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL). An official score report
must be sent directly from the Educational Testing Service (ETS); photocopies
will not be accepted.
- Résumé: Required for all
programs.
- I-20 Application and Supporting Financial Documents: (international
students only) Please print and complete the I-20
Application Form [PDF] and submit it with your supplemental materials.
- Transcripts: Official transcripts must
be sent directly to Drexel from all the colleges/universities that you
have attended. Transcripts must be submitted in a sealed envelope with
the college/university seal over the flap.
International Student Transcripts: Students applying to certain graduate programs must have their transcripts evaluated by an approved agency. Please check your program's Application Requirements and Deadlines.

If your transcripts are selected for a course-by-course evaluation by an external agency, you will be responsible for supplying all necessary documentation and paying all necessary fees to have your transcripts evaluated by the following approved agency:

If your school issues only one transcript for life, you are required to have a course-by-course evaluation completed by this approved agency. Nonmatriculated Students: Nonmatriculated applicants must provide a completed application, copies of transcripts, and a 500-word essay. Please contact the department directly to ensure that they allow nonmatriculated students in the class you intend to take. Nonmatriculated status is not available in the Westphal College of Media Arts and Design, School of Technology and Professional Studies, or the following programs: Clinical Psychology, Environmental Policy, Environmental Science, Law-Psychology, Psychology, and Graduate Nursing.
