| Program Content for Full-Time Study |
Academic Reading and Writing (7.5 hours per week): Students will be tested and placed into the appropriate ELC Reading/Writing level (4-6). These classes focus on essay writing, advanced academic writing, reading skills, and strategies for graduate level coursework.
Special Topic (3 hours per week): Students choose from a menu of courses covering academic, culture, business, language skills and test preparation topics, including TOEFL prep and GMAT prep. One Special Topic is included in the program; additional classes can be taken for an extra fee.

The Language of Business Information (7.5 hours per week): An integrated skills course that focuses on concepts and key vocabulary related to specific topics such as marketing, finance, international business, and human resources. The course uses case studies and current business news from authentic sources and includes research and visits to local businesses.

GLOBE Special Features

| | MBA class observation: Arrangements will be made for GLOBE participants to observe a class at Drexel's LeBow College of Business. |
| | Lecture opportunities: Gain valuable insights on the U.S. business scene in lectures at Drexel's LeBow College of Business, the Baiada Center for Entrepreneurship in Technology, and other departments. |
| | Prospective MBA workshops: Workshops on topics like choosing an MBA program, writing an application essay, or preparing for an interview will be offered each term.

| | Networking receptions: Meet other international visitors and local residents at receptions sponsored by the International Visitors Council of Philadelphia.

| | Test preparation: Enhance your skills and test-taking strategies in TOEFL or GMAT prep classes, plus TOEFL language lab activities.

Eligibility: To be eligible for GLOBE, you must have a university degree and place into ELC level 4 Speaking/Listening AND Reading/Writing (or higher).
Note: Drexel ELC has 6 levels, from Beginning to Advanced. Placement tests are given at the start of each term.
