History

A pioneering curriculum, the Engineering Management Program was established in 1959 at the behest of several Delaware Valley corporations. These corporations realized that many of their talented engineers lacked the management background needed to assume the leadership roles that they sought.

Over the next forty years, this relationship between Drexel University and multiple local corporations grew into an increasingly respected curriculum, attracting some of the most promising talent in the Delaware Valley.

Since 2000, the growth and reputation of the program led us to transition our offerings to a completely online curriculum. This decision has been met with a highly positive response from students on a national and international level, and we have enjoyed increasing support from industrial and governmental organizations.

Encouraged by this success, the Engineering Management Program continues to expand, and recently launched a Graduate Certificate and Concentration in Infrastructure Engineering Management.
