Since joining the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department, Dr. Vasileios T. Nasis has been teaching courses in digital signal processing, telecommunications, and digital systems.
Dr. Nasis research interests are in developing imaging technologies using MOEMS and he has introduced a new paradigm in digital imaging - the single pixel camera. In the summer of 2006 he was visiting researcher at Fraunhofer ISIT, Germany where he studied the behavior of MOEMS in projections systems and scanning patterns, as well as, diffraction patterns. Some of the previous work that Dr. Nasis has performed was in Breast Tumor Detection and Classification through Ultrasound signal analysis and Landmine detection systems using Ground Penetrating Radars.
