Change in Circumstances
Drexel Central recognizes that there are times when you or your family's circumstances change unexpectedly. In cases where there has been an unforeseen change that creates a financial hardship, Drexel Central has an appeals process in place to offer you assistance and evaluate whether additional financial resources can be offered to you on an emergency basis.
In order to start the evaluation process, you will need to contact Drexel Central either by phone, via AskDrexel or by visiting one of the Drexel Central offices in person. The representative you meet with will discuss your circumstances with you in order to determine the most appropriate action to take. In some instances, you may be asked to provide documentation of your situation.
Drexel Central may evaluate you for additional financial resources if you have had any of the following changes in circumstances:
- Recent unemployment or reduction of income (not including voluntary retirement)
- Death of a parent or spouse
- Divorce or separation
- Extensive medical debt
- Any other circumstances that has adversely affected your family's finances
Upon review of your circumstances, Drexel Central may be able to offer you some additional financial assistance, or advise on financing options you should consider. It is important that you review all other options available to you while this process is under review.
