Drexel Central Officially Open
July 15, 2013
After 15 months of planning and organizing, Drexel Central officially opened for business on July 15, 2013.
One of the goals stated in the 2012 Strategic Plan was for a consolidation of financial and registration student administrative services, so as to help improve the experience of students and parents. Drexel Central was created to meet this goal by offering a single point of contact for all student financial and registration services.
The new office consolidates the services previously offered by the Office of the Bursar, Office of Financial Aid/Student Resource Center and Office of the University Registrar.
Some of the main points Drexel Central will be able to help students and their families with are:
- Helping them understand their eBill and how to pay it
- Explaining their eligibility for different sources of financial aid
- Providing them with information on various financing plans
- Assisting them with ordering a transcript or obtaining an enrollment certificate
Drexel Central has 4 locations across the University City, Center City and Queen Lane campuses in which students can meet with a representative. Additionally, students are able to contact Drexel Central's Call Center hosted by EdFinancial Services, or submit electronic inquiries to Drexel Central via the AskDrexel system.
The new Drexel Central website features the information related to student finances and registration previously hosted on the separate websites of the Office of the Bursar, Office of Financial Aid/Student Resource Center and Office of the University Registrar. The new website incorporates many new features to make information more readily available in a clear and easy to follow manner.
