Obtaining a DragonCard

There is no charge for an initial DragonCard for students, faculty and staff. There is, however, a $20 replacement fee, to re-issue a card that is lost, stolen, or damaged.

Students:
Once students are registered for classes or co-op for the current academic term, they can visit any one of the three DragonCard Offices to have a photo taken and the DragonCard issued. A valid photo driver’s license, passport, or state-issued photo ID is required to be presented to the DragonCard representative in order to receive a DragonCard.

IMPORTANT – Students attending New Student Orientation will have their photos taken for their DragonCard during Day One of the program. In order to have the photo taken, a valid driver's license, passport, or state-issued photo identification is required. These students will be issued their DragonCard upon moving into their residence hall, or in the commuter lounge during New Student Days. Students without the proper documentation at Orientation can visit the DragonCard Office when they arrive to campus in the fall.

Faculty and Staff:
Once all new-hire paperwork has been processed, visit any of the three DragonCard Offices to have a photo taken and the DragonCard issued. A valid photo driver’s license, passport, or state-issued photo ID is required to be presented to the DragonCard representative in order to receive a DragonCard.

If you are also taking class while employed by Drexel, you will receive a card with the designation of your primary status with the University.  In most cases, this status is “Faculty” or “Staff” and not “Student.”

No person may be in possession of more than one DragonCard.
