Research and Teaching with Geographic Data Workshop

Friday, January 20, 2017

9:30 AM-1:00 PM

Leveraging Philadelphia-focused and national data

Please join the Urban Health Collaborative for an interactive data application workshop for faculty and post-docs.

The UHC has compiled data related to health determinants and health outcomes for the greater Philadelphia region. This workshop is an opportunity for faculty and postdocs to 1) explore and understand these datasets, what is available, and what else could be expanded 2) generate ideas for using this data in teaching and research, 3) increase the use of the UHC data, and 4) foster interdisciplinary collaboration among faculty with shared interests. Faculty are encouraged to invite collaborators from other schools/colleges to join in the workshop.

The Drexel Urban Health Collaborative works to improve health in cities by increasing scientific knowledge and public awareness of health and health variation within cities, and by promoting urban policies and partnerships that promote health and reduce health inequalities.
