Meal Plan Information 2008-2009

Drexel Campus Dining welcomes you and wishes you a successful and healthy 2008-2009 academic year. Drexel Campus Dining takes pride in delivering consistently fresh, high-quality products and services to our customers.

The CHOICE is YOURS…

For first year resident students, the University wants to make your transition to college life a smooth and rewarding experience. You should not have to worry about having to cook, or where you will be able to enjoy a fresh, nutritious and satisfying meal. First year resident students on the University City Main Campus have a choice between two meal plans:

 

Gold Meal Plan

Unlimited Meals at the Handschumacher Dining Center

                       + $200 Dining Dollars    Price: $1,620 per term

Or

Blue Meal Plan

12 Meals per Week at the Handschumacher Dining Center

                       + $475 Dining Dollars    Price: $1,620 per term

 

Off-campus students, commuter students, Center City Campus students, faculty and staff have additional meal plan options. Along with the Gold Meal Plan and the Blue Meal Plan, you may also choose from:

             9-Meals per Week Plan + $300 Dining Dollars                       Price:     $1,150 per term

             5-Meals per Week Plan + $250 Dining Dollars                       Price:     $799 per term

             Dining Dollar Funds:

                      
Take advantage of the debit card function of your DragonCard. Place any dollar amount onto a Dining Dollar Fund account for use at any Campus Dining location. PLUS receive bonus funds:

                                 $100–$249 in Dining Dollar Funds receive an extra 5%.

                                 $250–$499 in Dining Dollar Funds receive an extra 7%.

                          $500 or more dollars in Dining Dollar Funds receive an extra 9%

                       Reward percentages are based on each deposit, not multiple deposits added together.

All services, menu selections, and service hours are subject to change. Meal plan cancellations may only be granted to first year resident students upon withdrawal from the University or the residence halls.  Upperclass and Commuter students have the first two weeks of each term to change or cancel their meal plan selection. Meals are nontransferable and may only be used by the student who purchased the plan. However, you may bring a guest by using your Meal Plan Dollars or paying cash. You must have your Drexel ID, the DragonCard, in order to access the Dining Center as well as the other Campus Dining locations.
