Learn military skills.

Throughout the Army ROTC program, cadets are trained to operate and maintain military equipment and weaponry.

Learn tactics.

Learn to lead basic movement techniques and tactics used in combat operations.

Get in shape.

The Physical Training (PT) program is conducted during the week. It is designed to maintain an adequate level of physical fitness for all cadets. Physical fitness is a critical component of the Army. PT prepares cadets for the physical demands of being an officer in the U.S. Army.

Learn to lead.

Upon successful completion of the Army ROTC program, and graduation from an accredited college or university, cadets are commissioned as Second Lieutenants. Second Lieutenants typically command platoon sized elements. A typical platoon size is between 30 and 40 soldiers. Army ROTC is one of the best leadership training programs in the nation.

Be a college student.

ROTC cadets are like any other college students. Nothing sets cadets apart from other students except that they are obligated to attend Physical Training (PT) sessions, leadership lab, and a military science class during the week. Additional obligations include training weekends, military formal events, and Warrior Forge (32 days during the summer between Junior and Senior year).
