More about Naturally Sharp

(Vocal Jazz Ensemble)

Naturally Sharp is a select group of 14 singers, chosen by audition in the fall from the University Chorus.

Naturally Sharp performs "anything that swings," doing a variety of pieces from the past 100 years with a three-piece back-up band. Many of the singers also do solos. We provide costumes (gowns and tuxes), and performers are expected to be able to move, although the show is not choreographed.

Naturally Sharp performs frequently off-campus at venues including malls, banquet halls and retirement homes.

The group rehearses once a week, on Wednesday evenings from 7:30-9:00 in 2032 MacAlister

The Naturally Sharp audition consists of singing a prepared solo.* No sight reading is required. There will be a sign-up sheet at the first Chorus rehearsal.
