Drexel Parking Permit Renewal Process for Winter 2008 Renewal Process Fall 2007 permits expire on Sunday, December 16, 2007. Current parking customers are able to renew their permits from Monday, November 26 through Friday, December 14, 2007. To renew, please make payment and receive a new permit sticker by 5:00pm on Friday, December 14, 2007. Un-renewed spaces will be made available to new customers beginning Monday, December 17, 2007. Note: Annual, or prepaid multiple term customers, whose permits expire later than Sunday, December 16, 2007 do not need to take any action. New Customers New customer permit parking contract and payment is on-going as space is available. Those specifically interested in permit parking beginning in Winter 2008 may submit a Parking Permit Sales Contract and payment starting on Monday, December 17, 2007. How to Obtain A Permit Forms can be obtained in the Drexel Parking Office or printed in advance from the Parking Permit Sales Contract Payment may be made by personal check, money order, or major credit card in person at the Drexel Parking Services Office at 34th and Market Streets, 8:00am – 5:00pm. To receive your parking permit sticker, please drop by the Drexel Parking Services Office (located in the Parking Garage, First Floor, Room 124) starting Monday, December 17, 2007. New Rates Announced for 2007/2008 Academic Year The new rates for the 2007-2008 academic year compare very favorably with rates in University City. Rate increases are necessary to keep pace with expenditures for the cost of maintaining parking facilities, insurance, utilities, security and snow removal. Fall 2007 Parking Permits for Students, Faculty and Staff No waiting lists, no lottery process! Date: August 15, 2007 To: Drexel Student, Faculty and Staff From: Drexel Parking Services Re: Fall 2007 Parking Permits Available Drexel Parking Services is pleased to announce the completion of the Parking Garage renovation with the opening of 285 new parking spaces and two new elevators. This additional capacity has alleviated the campus parking shortage and as a result, permit parking is now available without any waiting period to students, faculty and staff. No Lottery for Student! Students may now purchase one, two, three, or four consecutive terms of parking. Annual permits are valid Fall through Summer of each academic year. Summer Parking Permits are Still Available for Students, Faculty and Staff Date: August - September 9, 2007 To: Drexel Student, Faculty and Staff From: Drexel Parking Services Re: Summer Parking Permits are Still Available for Students, Faculty and Staff Permit parking is still available for the remainder of the Summer Term without any waiting period. Permits will be prorated based on the date of purchase. If you are interested in purchasing a Summer Permit, simply complete a parking Parking Permit Sales Contract and return with payment to the Parking Services Office located in the Drexel Parking Garage at 34th and Market Streets. Summer 2007 Student Parking Permit Lottery To register for the Summer Term 2007 Student Parking Permit Lottery process, please submit your name, Drexel e-mail address, phone number, and student ID number to Parking Services via e-mail to parking@drexel.edu by 5:00PM, Friday, May 18, 2007. You will receive a response by email indicating whether you have been assigned a parking space by Monday, May 28, 2007. Quarterly Permit Parking Renewals for Summer Term 2007 are from Monday, June 4, 2007 to Friday, June 15, 2007. The renewal timeline will be strictly adhered to in order to effectively manage parking assignments. The on file Winter Parking Permit Sales Contract may be used if there have been no changes.
