Note 2: Annual permit holders do not renew until August 2007.

Quarterly Permit Parking Renewals for Spring Term 2007 are from Monday, March 5, 2007 to Friday, March 23, 2007. The renewal timeline will be strictly adhered to in order to effectively manage parking assignments. The on file Winter Parking Permit Sales Contract may be used if there have been no changes.

The renewal and payment deadline is Friday, March 23, 2007.
Please note that no late renewals can be accepted.

All quarterly Winter Term permits expire on Sunday, March 25, 2007.

Winter 2006 Student Parking Permit Lottery

Re: Winter 2007 Student Parking Permit Lottery - University City Main Campus

In March 2006 Drexel University began a parking garage expansion project that will add two levels to the existing structure at 34th & Market Streets. During the period of construction (through December 2006) 300 parking spaces in the garage are unavailable.

For Winter Term 2007 Drexel Parking Services will reclaim some of the unavailable space. Additionally, Drexel Parking Services has identified alternative parking at lots on campus for use in the lottery process. During construction, traffic issues are expected - please allow extra time for your commute.

Please bear the above in mind when you register for the Winter 2007 Student Parking Permit Lottery Process. To register for the lottery, please submit your name, Drexel e-mail address, phone number, and student ID number to Parking Services via e-mail to parking@drexel.edu by 5:00PM, Tuesday, November 21, 2006. You will receive a response indicating whether you have been assigned parking, and if so, where, by Monday, November 27, 2006.

Metered Lots A and E
Due to the Drexel Parking Garage renovation project, Metered Lots A and E have been temporarily made into Permit Lots only. The meters have been bagged and are reserved for permit parking for Fall 2006.

Note: Student Lottery Parking Permit renewal go to Lottery Instructions.

Note: All annual and summer customers with silver "EXPIRES 9/10/2006" permits are required to complete a Parking Permit Sales Contract.

The full-time fee for the Garage, Lot C, & Lot F is $321 per term, all other lots are $310 per term.

Payment may be made by personal check, money order (payable to Drexel University) or major credit card in person at the Parking Services Office at 34th and Market Streets, 8:00am - 5:00pm. You may call in and pay by major credit card at 215-895-2813.

Payment may also be made via payroll deduction.
Note: Your on file parking payroll deduction form will be continued automatically.

Customers choosing to file a payroll deduction form for the first time this Fall term must do so by September 8, 2006.

New Applicants
New applicants may apply at the parking office in person to register for a parking space. All lots are currently sold out, but a waiting list is maintained.

New Rates Fall Term 2006 - Summer Term 2007 University City Main Campus

Subject: 2006/2007 Parking Service Rates

The Department of Parking Services and our customers have been challenged this year with the loss in March 2006 of 300 parking spaces at the Drexel Parking Garage due to a renovation project that will add a new elevator and make available 290 new parking spaces to the Drexel Community. The project is scheduled to return most of the temporarily lost spaces in December 2006 and open the new spaces in February 2007. We thank you for your patience!

Over the next few years, growth in University City will place an even higher demand for parking than in the past. Several major construction projects are planned that will have a dramatic affect on traffic conditions and on the general number of parking spaces available in the community. Parking Services will continue to monitor these activities and provide timely information as these projects come to fruition and affect the Drexel community.

Rates set for 2006-2007 allow Drexel Parking Services to keep apace with expenditures for the cost of maintaining parking facilities, insurance, utilities and snow removal. Drexel parking rates compare very favorably with rates in University City, and we thank you for your cooperation.

Effective for the Fall Term 2006 through Summer Term 2007 the rates are:

Full-Time Term Permit

• Lot G (Garage), C & F Lots $321/term
• All Other Lots $310/term

• Lot G (Garage) F & S Lots, Valid 5PM - Midnight
• One night per week $70/term
• Two nights per week $140/term
• Three or more nights $180/term

• Lot G (Garage) & S Lot, Valid Midnight - 7AM and 5PM - Midnight and all holidays and weekends $210/term

• On a space available basis
• Department Guests, Students, and Parents $10/day
• Overnight weekday $5/evening

Weekend Pass

• Department Guest, Student, and Parent $15/weekend
