Policies
Off street parking on campus property is regulated by the Parking Services Department. Parking staff and the uniformed campus patrol are authorized to issue parking violation notices at all locations. THEY MAY ALSO ORDER VIOLATORS IMMOBILIZED OR TOWED FROM CAMPUS.
Payment of meters (Lots A and E) is not required on Sunday. All lots, regulations and policies are enforced 24 hours per day 7 days per week.
Parking Violations
Parking Violations
Parking violations are categorized into either Minor or Major violations. The two types of violations are described in detail on the following pages.
Minor violations carry a $5.00 fine if paid within fifteen calendar days. Minor violations not paid within the fifteen day period incur a $10.00 penalty, for a total fine plus penalty of $15.00.
Major violations carry a $20.00 fine if paid within fifteen calendar days. Major violations not paid within the fifteen day period incur a $20.00 penalty, for a total fine plus penalty of $40.00.
Any major violation can result in the offending vehicle being towed from campus or immobilized by use of the boot on the first offense.

d) Altering a pass or permit issued by the Parking Office (permanent loss of parking privileges). |

Parking in a metered space is prohibited when:
a) The meter display is blank or failed.
b) The meter is not functioning.
c) The meter is jammed or will not accept nickels, dimes, quarters, Golden or Susan B. dollars. |
| Sec. 222 |
Anyone caught placing script, slugs, foreign objects, or anything other than US coins in a meter mechanism will lose their parking privileges, receive a fine, pay repair costs, and further sanctions as University policy and law permits. |

Vehicles not registered with the Drexel University Parking Office are prohibited from parking on University property. (The first offense section #107 may be negated by registering the vehicle within 3 days of the violation. A second violation may result in the vehicle being towed or immobilized.) |

Immobilized Vehicle
The immobilizer requires an $80.00 removal fee in addition to payment of all parking fines and penalties accrued to date for release of the offending vehicle. The person claiming the vehicle must show a registration card for the vehicle and a picture ID at the Parking Office. Cash only is accepted and a receipt is issued.
Vehicles immobilized more than 24 hours may be towed away. Additional penalties will be assessed to the owner for illegal parking for each day the vehicle remains unclaimed in the amount of $20/day. If towed the Towing Policy must be followed to retrieve a vehicle.

Towed Vehicle
Drexel University has a contractual agreement with Lew Blum Towing located at 1130 N. 40th Street, (Phone: 215.222.5628) to tow violators to their location 24 hours per day, 7 days per week. The recovery fee for all vehicles is $100.00, plus $25.00 additional storage each day. The towing service maintains a protected, enclosed lot and is fully insured. It accepts only cash for retrieval of illegally parked vehicles.

Payment Procedures
To Pay a Parking Citation
Except where a vehicle or bicycle is immobilized or impounded, payment of fines and/or penalties for parking violations must be paid through the Citation Processing Center and not on campus. To make payment:
- ONLINE, pay by credit card at www.ticketwizard5000.com.
- BY MAIL, place parking ticket along with a check or money order payable to DREXEL UNIVERSITY in the pre-addressed envelope.
DO NOT MAIL CASH. WRITE TICKET NUMBER on check or money order and place the correct postage on the envelope.

Review and Appeal Process
Parking Violation Review
The purpose of the review process is to correct errors, reconcile discrepancies, and provide information for an appeal procedure.
All requests for a parking violation review must be made within 10 days of the issuance date of the first citation notice and must be directed to the Parking Office or online at www.ticketwizard5000.com.
To have a citation reviewed provide the ticket number, your e-mail address and phone number, your full name and address, and provide a written summary of your position for the review. The reason provided will be investigated and a decision will be made to uphold the review cancelling the fine, to mitigate the fine or allow the citation to stand as is. If a review is not received on time the citation will move to the collection process with no further possibility of appeal.

Appeals Procedure
To begin an appeal one must first initiate a Parking Violation Review (see above). To appeal the review decision appellants must submit a written appeal within 10 days of the date of the review decision to the Parking Office or online at www.ticketwizard5000.com. The appeal letter must explain why the violation in question should be rescinded or mitigated.
If an appeal is not received on time the citation will move to the collection process with no further possibility of appeal. All appellants will receive a written answer within 30 days.

Notice and Collection Process
Notice
A first citation notice is mailed to the registered vehicle owner after 21 days if payment of the fine is not received. A review of the citation must be initiated within 10 days of the date of this notice to be eligible for appeal.
Collection Notices
All tickets not paid after 30 days of the date of issuance of the first citation notice will receive a penalty and a collection notice. Collection notices are not eligible for appeal. Follow the Payment Procedure instructions to make payment.
