Small Groups
Small Groups at Asbury, made up of 4-6 students, are available for students looking to deepen their spiritual lives, and connect more meaningfully with fellow students. Groups are open to any student (undergrad or grad), though some are designed for a particular population (e.g. first-year students, graduating seniors, grad students, men/women, etc.)
Small groups are currently available as follows:
Small Groups for First Years - What Have I Gotten Myself Into?
(available on Thursdays beginning Fall Term--timing TBD)
Designed to create a safe, supportive space for first-year undergraduate students as they adjust to life at Drexel. Gatherings will include opportunities for prayer, personal sharing, spiritual support and relationship-building. Groups generally meet weekly beginning Fall Term, and are led initially by Pastor Amy--contact her to sign up, or for more info!
Small Groups for Graduating Seniors - Where Do I Go From Here?
Designed for graduating seniors to explore questions around vocation and calling as they consider both the excitement and anxiety associated with life after graduation! Groups are led by either Pastor Amy or Pastor Tim, and can start at any point during the year (meeting as often as the group decides). Contact Pastors Amy or Tim to sign up, or for more info!
Other groups are more organic in nature, and can be formed around some specific interest (e.g. sports or service or watching movies) or identity (e.g. women's or men's group)--or just a general desire to connect with other Christian students on campus. The exact focus and timing are determined by the group members themselves, but groups generally include opportunities for prayer, personal sharing, spiritual support and relationship-building.
Contact Pastors Amy or Tim if you'd like to be part of a small group, or to suggest a new group!
Prayer Partners
Students also have the opportunity to be matched with fellow students as prayer partners, focused more specicially on encouraging and supporting each other through prayer. Once students are matched (usually in groups of 2-4) and have met initially with either Pastor Amy or Pastor Tim, they are on their own to determine their schedule, and can meet as often and for as long as they decide together.
Contact Pastors Amy or Tim for more info, or to sign up!
