PROGRAM
As one of the oldest programs in the nation,
we strive to provide the highest quality education for our students
by integrating management practice, theory, and practicum. Through
our classes we incorporate four branches of learning including the
arts, commerce, research and technology. Our program prepares students
as arts managers and leaders in the field by focusing on areas such
as marketing and policy development. We also serve as a resource
and work closely with the local and national arts and cultural community
in research and consulting opportunities.
We are proud members of various affiliate organizations including
the Association of Arts Administration Educators and the Greater
Philadelphia Cultural Alliance. Our program sponsored the Social
Theory, Politics and the Arts Conference in 1998, and participates
in national research projects including the Profiles Project administered
by Americans for the Arts and funded by the Pew Charitable Trusts.
