Move-In Day

Moving Assistance and Carts

The Office of University Housing will stock 100 Move-In purge bins ( known as “carts”) during Move-In week, Monday, September 15, 2014, through Saturday, September 20, 2014, which are distributed on a first come, first serve basis. These carts are available to Drexel University students with an active Drexel University DragonCard. Carts can be signed out by Drexel University students with an active Drexel University DragonCard only. Please note this action as family members and friends will be turned away if a Drexel University student with an active Drexel University DragonCard is not present.

Carts will be available for sign-out at the side exit of Myers Hall which is located on “Spangler Walk” directly across from the entrances to both Kelly Hall and Millennium Hall. Carts are not available at the entrance or front desk of any residence hall. Our staff strongly encourages all students to review the below hours of operation for cart sign-out. Note that carts cannot be checked out after 9:00 pm each day. Thank you and Happy Move-In!

Driving and Parking

When you arrive, pull up to your residence hall using the map on the Driving/Traffic page. The Drexel University Police Department will enforce a strict 20-minute load/unload parking zone time limit and will provide each car with a Move-In Parking Pass. No car should be left unattended at any time. Once the car has been unloaded, you will be directed by a Drexel Police or Public Safety Officer to relocate to the parking garage on 34th & Ludlow Streets or another designated location.

Upon Arrival

Students should first report to the front desk of your residence hall (University Crossings residents should report to the front desk of Caneris Hall). The residence hall room key will be issued after the student completes the check-in paperwork.

DragonCard

Students should have received their DragonCard at New Student Orientation. Those students that still need to get their DragonCard may go to the University City DragonCard Office, located in the Creese Student Center.

The DragonCard Office will have extended hours of operation:

Room Condition Report

At Check-In, you will be provided with your Room Condition Report, which is a one-page report completed by residence hall staff prior to your arrival and is intended to document the condition of your room upon move-in. Should you wish to make any changes to this Room Condition Report, simply note the changes on your copy, return it to the front desk, and our staff will investigate the reported issues further. You will receive this report back via your residence hall mailbox. You are responsible for the condition of your room after accepting this document. All changes must be received by residence hall staff by Monday, September 25, 2014 at 5 p.m.

We look forward to providing a warm welcome when you arrive at Drexel University!
