Winter Break Registration Required for most students
The Fall 2013 academic term ends on Saturday, December 14, 2013. Any student who does not have a Winter 2014 housing application must move out of their Fall 2013 assignment by 10am on Saturday, December 14, 2013.
The University's residence halls and Greek Houses will remain open during the Winter 2013 Term Break from Saturday, December 14, 2013 through Sunday, January 5, 2014.
During this low-occupancy period, University Housing (UH) and the Residential Living Office (RLO) strongly encourage those students who stay on campus to be mindful of their surroundings and to always lock their doors while not in their room.
UPDATE: Winter Break Registration has closed. If you require access to your residence hall during break and did not sign up by the Monday, December 9, 2013 deadline, please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
To be eligible for Winter Break Housing, student must:
University City Campus residence halls will remain open for the Winter Break for all students who have registered for Term Break Housing. There is no fee for Term Break Housing.
- Have a Fall 2013 Housing Assignment
- Have a Winter 2014 Housing Assignment
- Register for Winter Break Housing through Housing OnDemand by Monday, December 9, 2013 at 11:59pm.
Those students eligible for Winter Break Housing must register through Housing OnDemand by Monday, December 9, 2013 at 11:59pm, except those living in Greek Housing and graduate students residing in Stiles Hall.
Only those students who are registered for Winter Break by the deadline will have card access to their assigned residence hall during the Break Period.
Students do not need to register if they do not plan to enter their residence hall during winter break. Students with both a Fall 2013 and Winter 2014 Housing assignment may leave their belongings in their room during the break.
How to Register
Registration is required and is submitted through Housing OnDemand. To log into Housing OnDemand you will be asked for a user name and password in a pop up window. Please enter DREXEL\abc123 (where abc123 is your DrexelOne login). Likewise, your password is the same as DrexelOne. Once in Housing OnDemand you will click on “Winter Break Registration."
Winter Break Guest Policy/Code of Conduct
Guests are any individuals that a student registered for Winter Break Housing would like to sign into the residence hall at any time during term break. Guests must be registered in advance even if they are not staying overnight. Residents who are signed up to stay in the halls over the winter break and who wish to have guests during that time must follow the following protocol:
You must give the guests’ names and the date range they will be staying (not to exceed 3 days)
All guests must have photo ID to enter the building
All requests are subject to approval by the Resident Director of the building
Any guests not registered by Friday, December 13th at 5pm will not be allowed to enter the building: NO EXCEPTIONS
All students residing on campus are expected to abide by the Drexel University code of conduct, available in the Student Handbook.
The Winter Break period is an optimal time for University Facilities to inspect and repair areas of our residence halls. As always, University Housing will provide as much notice as possible if entrance to residence hall rooms is required!
A student who cancels their Winter 2014 housing between Saturday, December 14, 2013 and Saturday, January 4, 2014, must immediately vacate their assignment and are subject to a $30 per night fee for each night used.
