Room Change Day Applications 2011
Undergraduate students who wish to change their winter housing assignment for any reason may submit an application form with their request! Room changes will be made on a first come, first serve basis upon availability. Participating students MUST be available to move from their current assignment to their new assignment on Sunday, December 11th between 2PM and 4PM. Do not make any travel plans prior to 5 PM on Sunday, December 11th if you would like to participate. Please see the timeline below for important dates:

Frequently Asked Questions
I'm a graduate student; can I participate? Room Change Day applications are only accepted for undergraduate students.
Do I have to talk to my RA or RD before filling this out? No, you do not need to discuss your reasons for wanting to change your room with anyone.
What is on the application? The application allows you to rank the residence halls available to you so that we can find the best fit for you as well as a way to indicate the buildings you do not wish to move to. Also, there is an open answer section where you can elaborate on your request (i.e. I would like to live on the 5th floor of Calhoun if possible).

Am I guaranteed a new space if I fill out an application?
Unfortunately we can only reassign students based on the spaces that are available. Room changes will be granted first come, first serve upon availability.
What if I want to change my choices?
You may update your application by submitting a new application HERE. The application submitted most recently will be used. Any previous applications for Room Change Day will be disregarded.
Will my eBill change?
There are different housing rates for the different building types. You will experience a change in housing costs if you move from one building type to another. Please see our Rates page for detailed information on the costs of each building.
What if I don't like my new assignment as much as the one I have now? Once the applications have closed, you may not withdraw or change your request. Please be sure of your decision to move prior to submitting an application.
My friend doesn't have a roommate right now.... how do I make sure I can move to his/her room? Please indicate your friend's name, building, and room on your application. Also, please have your friend send us an email at housing@drexel.edu to confirm that you are a preferred roommate.
I can't move on December 11th between 2PM and 4PM. Can I move a different day? No. Only students who can move on Room Change Day may submit an application.
Will carts be available for me to use? Moving carts will not be available on December 11th for students participating in Room Change Day.
I am a student in overflow housing. Am I eligible for Room Change Day? University Housing has already put in place assignment change procedures and timelines for those students in overflow housing (tripled rooms in Towers Hall and converted lounges in Myers, Calhoun, & Kelly Halls). As such, students in overflow housing are not eligible to participate in Room Change Day. Students in overflow housing should reference the personalized emails they received from University Housing earlier in the year for more information regarding permanent room reassignments.
