New Student Assignments

New Student Housing Assignments are made based on the date the housing application is received. In cases where preferred roommates are involved, the earlier application date will be used. June 15th is the application deadline and the last date for new freshmen to be guaranteed housing.

Residency & Meal Plan Requirement:

Drexel University believes that a safe, clean and comfortable living environment is a valuable part of a student’s social and educational experience and greatly contributes to their growth as a member of the University community.  To ensure that experience, starting with the first year/freshman class entering Fall 2012, students are required to live in university approved housing for their first and second years. First year students are required to live in a University Housing residence hall; second year students will have a variety of options to choose from.

The University requires that all first-year, non-transfer students participate in a campus board plan. Students transferring to Drexel from other institutions are also required to participate in a campus board plan.

Current Student Assignments

When a student decides to live on campus, he or she submits a Housing Application using the MyHousing account. When submitting the application, the student agrees to the terms of the Housing Agreement for the appropriate year.  Students are also bound by the terms and conditions in the Student Handbook.

Cancellations

Students seeking early cancellation of their housing must follow the proper procedures outlined on the Cancellations Page .
