The Program
Environmental Studies at Drexel:

The B.S. in Environmental Studies is truly an interdisciplinary program, and utilizes scholars from a range of academic departments in social sciences, humanities and natural sciences. Participating departments include Anthropology, Biology, Chemistry; Sociology, Economics, Communication, Criminal Justice, History, Philosophy, and Political Science.
Our degree program is flexible in that students can follow a plan of study that fits their intellectual and vocational interests. While students can focus their efforts on natural science training, the B.S. in Environmental Studies is largely designed around a liberal arts and public policy focus.
- The program also offers multiple co-op and internship options, although students are advised to pursue the 4 year, 1 co-op option. There are many opportunities available to students for co-ops and internships with public agencies, as well as with private firms and non-profit organizations.
