	CURRENT AREAS OF RESEARCH Language variation in Spanish The relationship between language variation and mobility (social and geographical) among the Mexican communities in Mexico and in the United States First and second language acquisition Bilingualism, theater, baroque and contemporary literature
	RESEARCH PROJECTS She has published in several national and international journals. Even though the role of gender is always present in her research, one of her most recent publications, “Gender Roles and the Variants of /r/” deals directly with the changing gender roles in a migrant community and how this is reflected in their language.
